Yeah, actually Gemmy started the whole thing with his tune entitled "Purple Moon" and it took off from there, as Joker had already been producing similar sounding tunes simultaneously. Can't forget other big name contributors to this sound, including Guido, Ginz, Mensah, L-Wiz, Kito, Om Unit, Starkey, Rustie, Wedge, Mimosa, NastyNasty, MartyParty, etc. I'd like to consider myself a guru of this particular sound within dubstep.
Anyone who wants to read further into this amazing sound, check out this article about the "purple trio" (aka Joker, Gemmy, & Guido):

The sound is kind of up for interpretation, yes? It's a bit different, but that's what I think is great about the sound- not many limitations and a ton of room for exploring.

That purple section sounds more like alternative dubstep to me. If you want more songs like that search for rustie, jakes and joker... Don't think its "new section" worthy..
And pure my opinion: that explanation of purple sound blows
Just sayin what i think,,, not that it matters haha
